In the Aftermath of Giffords Shooting, Father of Murdered Child Emerges as a Rational Voice

In the coverage of the aftermath of the the attack on Congresswoman Giffords, coverage has strayed well away from anything to do with the attacker or the victims and into a vicious blame game.  Lefty media types seem to still be following the pre-shooting script of violent Tea Party activists striking out at the government.  The complete collapse of early Tea Party violence theories from the left has not stopped the endless barage of finger pointing and discussion of how to further control the liberties of the American people.

Somehow in the midst of the bickering, one of the most rational voices may come from the person who arguably lost the most on Saturday, when Jared Lee Loughner gunned down nineteen people in Tucson. In the video below is the father of Christina Green, the nine-year-old killed in that attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. There is not much to say about the difficulty that this family is going through. Let’s try, for now, to keep the victims and their families in mind; there will be plenty of time to contemplate the political implications of the attack and the fall out of failures in our mental health system that allow madmen like Loughner go unchecked.
