Harry Reid and the Yawn Not Heard Round the World

200 hours after Scott Brown ran an impassioned campaign that electrified grassroots voters and forshadowed a vigorous midterm campaign process, President Obama staked the future of his party on his State of the Union address. Democrats tuned in expecting see a renewed vigor and some of the campaign magic that swept their party to overwhelming power in 2008.
Some stalwarts of the President’s first year, however, were not quite on the edge of their seats.
