Macia when I was stationed at Kelly AFB in mid-1990s. My father knew Chappie as a classmate at Tomstone HS. We met the Macia's in their home in San Antonio during a visit by my Dad and Mom. He was larger than life and was gracious enough to trust me with a copy of Glines' book "The Doolittle Raiders" signed by 33 members of the Raiders, including Chappie and Gen Doolittle.
